Kony 2012

Kony 2012 87 million views

we are called as Christians to Love all

Jesus’ love is not for some but for all,
He died for all; Judas, Races, Ethnicity, Races, Creeds, Religions, Criminals , & Prisoners!

Jesus love does not have borders or boundaries

His love is intense
His love is messy as there is nothing that can compete with it

With the recent video of Kony 2012 gives light to Joseph Kony and how he abducts children to be used as his soldiers.

This video has gained a lot of attention which I think is rightfully so.

Joseph Kony makes me think of Sadaam Husein. I remember I was at a mission conference and a lady announced on

the stage that Sadaam had been hung the night before. Immediately people began cheering and hi-fiving each other with great celebration.

Then the lady interrupted our cheering and asked how we could cheer a man that is most likely going to hell. I don’t remember what she

said verbatim but really what she challenged us with was no matter who they are and what they’ve done, everyone needs to know Jesus and hear the gospel. No one can deny
that Sadaam and Kony are very evil men but, I would not wish my worst enemy to go to hell, an eternal suffering with no end in sight.

Support Raising

•March 5, 2012 • Leave a Comment

I have been back in the states for 2.5 weeks now with my main objective being support raising. Over four years ago, I began full time ministry in Latvia. It’s been that long since I really concentrated on raising support.

Often I have flashbacks of that time before I moved to Latvia. Of the intense support raising that I had to do. Calling people and making a list of potential new supporters.

I remember how difficult it was for me to really wait and trust on the Lord. During that time it was very hard for me to ask people for money. Often I would write and then I would do a follow up phone call to see if they had  time to pray and think about the letter. As I look back during that time it was a time of great frustration. Through this process God used this experience of raising support to shake me to my core with this question – How big is my faith in my Lord? Did I believe He would provide for me?  I believed that Ultimately God will provide and He did!

For me I had to go through this tough time with the support raising to be reminded that God had called me to Latvia. He had paved the way for me and he is NOT going to forsake me.  It was important to wrestle through this lesson also because ministry is hard. There are bumps along the way, things are difficult but if I could look back and see how the Lord provided and was near during support raising; I can rest assured that the Lord will not forsake me in other difficulties!
